It’s titled FIGHT! because that was my Word of the Year—not as in “fight with others,” but rather “fight for myself.” I think I succeeded in that quest.
I feel strongly that this is the right and best course of action creatively.
Find the ones who will be a consistent presence in your life going forward, who will dance to your anthem and shoot whiskey with you on occasion, and make you feel less alone in what is largely a singular and isolating activity.

Creatively what this means for me is that I am taking more chances with my work: Embracing the provocative concept. Writing that difficult scene. Using more intimate, sensual language. Sharing my stories with friends and strangers alike.
